The Flower Grower Collective

Our hubs bring together florists and growers all across the UK….
The Flower Grower Collective began in 2018 as a group of growers looking for more efficient routes to market.
With support from Scottish Enterprise, eight growers committed to working collaboratively to explore how to overcome the many challenges faced by small artisan growers. After many surveys, focus groups, meetings and endless research, in 2023 the group began to work on an online buying platform. Simultaneously growers from across the country, who were exploring similar routes to market, came together to form the Flower Grower Collective.
The collective is a space for professional growers to work collaboratively under cooperative principles. The project aims to create a network driven online buying space which can financially sustain itself, be systemised, and roll out to other UK regions, under the cooperative foundations built over the past seven years.
Working collaboratively with growers and closely with florists allows the best quality, unusual, local flowers to reach the hands of florists, showcasing the beauty in sustainable flowers. The collective carefully balances the ratio of growers to florists to ensure a fantastic seasonal range of flowers are available, while providing a steady route to market.
